The stay here was relaxing, thoroughly enjoyed the hotel, it was fairly clean with stunning and particularly good location very close to great restaurants and bars as well as the beach in rooms 17. The service was excellent. Could use concierge service free of charge, that's nice.

The location seemed perfect and lovely in the beachfront area. The rooms of our place were a nice size and beautifully designed with a view. Great breakfast, we greatly enjoyed it.

The location is just AMAZING!!! All rooms are located less than 30 seconds from the wonderful beach. The room was nicely furnished (double shower is great!), very clean. The staff was friendly and quite helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is nice. You can even order when lying on the beach beds for drinks and they would bring them directly to you. And all of this for a very reasonable price (perhaps the price was low also because it was low season). But I would definitely recommend the Hip Hotel again and would really come back in the future if I could.
Although we were supposed to have free Wifi access, it simply didn't work during the entire duration of our stay. We had each time we needed internet to ask the receptionist to borrow his/her working station, and as they had to use it for work, we couldn't stay longer than 15 minutes... Careful too, they accept AMEX but they say that it's taking like 20 min for the transaction, so it's accepted but you'd better anticipate your departure in that case.

A fantastic beachside retreat
Waking up to the gentle sound of waves and enjoying the well-kept garden areas brought a sense of peace. The staff's dedication made every interaction enjoyable.
Despite the beautiful scenery, our room was lacking basic amenities like a fridge and WiFi access, making things a bit inconvenient .

The cabana and the beach, the food is excellent too.
Depend who's on at front desk to what service you will receive, but all other departments were great.

This hotel is perfectly situated for family fun! The beach was a real treat for my kids, and we also explored nearby activities like cenote diving, which they loved. The gentle ocean waves and beautiful palm trees created a perfect backdrop for our stay.
For dads, it would be great if there were more dining options for families.

Excellent location on a world class beach. Close to many sightseeing attractions. Helpful and friendly staff. Nice size resort. Food was good. In all, I would recommend this hotel.
Linens a little rough which made sleeping a bit challenging. Chairs not so comfortable either. While we were there there was no internet for the duration of our stay. Leak on my bed due to a rain storm. Mosquitos in room.

Tranquil Beach Retreat with Amazing Staff
The beach area was always well-maintained, with plenty of comfy sun loungers. The food at the on-site restaurant was fantastic, with a lovely dining experience that complemented the beautiful scenery. Although the bed was a bit stiff for my preference, it didn't overshadow the overall amazing experience. I would have liked more variety in the breakfast offerings.

A perfect balance between an upscale "summer camp" and a 5-star hotel...we had the most amazing ocean-view room and I was so upset that we had to leave because of a hurricane after 4 nights...we will be back at least once if not annually to get the perfectly remote and calm, as well as simultaneously helpful staff in the reception and wonderful restaurant. We chose this hotel for our honeymoon and I couldn't imagine a better spot in north america to get a beautiful, warm, welcomingly sunny, small-scale resort to satisfy everything we wanted. Amazing all- around...will never forget the experience...
Menu could be improved slightly with fresher seafood and a reception that would be open 24-hrs. And maybe slight improvement in the hot water situation. The food and drinks were perfectly good and the water didn't really matter too much since we were staying in a tropical climate.
